Coming Home

I was born in Split (in my eyes one of the most beautiful places in the world), on the Dalmatian coast, in a small country called Croatia. I grew up under a communist rule of Josip Broz Tito and as life would have it, our region of the world found itself at war again in the early 90s. Just as the Balkan war was starting, I left for Italy at 18 and lived there for several years working as a nanny. Eventually I found my way to the States where I went to college and later became a physician.

I became an American citizen in 2004, and my life is an example of what the American Dream stands for. I am and will always be grateful and in awe of my adoptive country. One of the reasons, I have been very vocal about the World Health Organization, United Nations, WEF and world events is my desire to make sure that the United States remains the beacon of hope for the world.

If one can love her native and adoptive country with the whole heart, that is how I feel about them both. One gave me my past and the other is giving me the future.

This past December, I was invited to the Croatian Parliament to share my concerns about the WHO with my native country and the legislators. Below is my short interview about my concerns for Croatia, their strong dependence on the European Union, and how will the World Health Organization’s Pandemic Agreement (also known as Treaty, or Accord, or Ca ++) affect them in the future.

My answer for the Croats, is simple. Remember. Remember our history, be proud of who you are, cut the ties with the EU as they are just another entity trying to control your destiny and take matters in your hands, negotiate international agreements independently of the EU and follow the will of the Croatian people. I believe that if they were asked, they would agree with me and say #ExitTheWHO.
